Product Overview
What makes this drum different? Let's take a look:
This cutting-edge drum is specifically designed for Pistol Caliber Carbines that use Glock magazines. Traditionally, the tower of a drum for use in Glocks is made to insert into a pistol grip and is longer than it needs to be for use in AR platforms. It may never be an issue, but those drums that you use in Glock frames can rock back and forth in the magwell. It may never be an issue, as we have use other brands of drums with PCCs, but Magpul solved that issue by making the mag tower a shorter profile which fits PERFECTLY in an AR Pistol Caliber Carbine magazine well without excess magazine tower extruding like Pinocchio. As the improved drum now has a lower profile than even most Glock extended stick magazines, it doesn't get in the way if you go "low prone" or shoot from a benchrest and handling is smoother. This isn't a toy but pegs the fun meter!
Lightweight but incredibly strong, our PMAG D-50 GL9 - PCC is a highly reliable, 9x19mm Parabellum, 50-round drum magazine for pistol caliber carbines that feed from GLOCK® pattern magazines.
The Magpul D-50 GL9 – PCC boasts many of the proven features of its 5.56 and 7.62 predecessors, while providing the user with a similar magazine capacity increase. Providing 50-round capacity, the unique drum configuration keeps the height of the magazine manageable, allowing for prone firing and easier storage. For easy loading, it includes a ratcheting loading lever that removes tension from the internal spring.
To keep track of your available firepower, we’ve included a rounds-remaining rear window, a high-visibility follower and a capacity indication roller.
Easily disassembled for cleaning and featuring an innovative bolt hold-open feature, the D-50 GL9 – PCC reliably locks the bolt back on empty when used with firearms designed to lock back on GLOCK pattern magazine followers.
